What is Kisses4Kate?
Kisses4Kate
a 501-c3 nonprofit that helps children with cancer and their families.
It is a support organization that was started for the sake of keeping
one promise to a little girl named Kate Thornton. It continues in her
name helping other children afflicted with this disease. Our hope is to
reunite and offer support to families who are separated by hardships
brought on by lengthy treatments and hospitalizations. We also hope to
assist in making their homes more accessible to the needs of these

The First Annual Celebration of Courage
The event was honoring the children fighting cancer at Brenner Childrens Hospital
and celebrating their courage through the Beads of Courage program

Children had a "weigh in" of their bead collections received during
treatment,
as well as they created their own customized "Dream Bead",
along with other activities

- Each year in the United States, approximately 13,500 children and adolescents younger than 20 years of age that are diagnosed with cancer.
- That's more than a classroom of kids a day.
- Approximately 2,500 children and adolescents die of cancer each year Every day 7 children die in the US from cancer.
